Painting My Time Away

While Bugaboo has been playing "Got Your Tail" (had hours of regular contractions early this morning that only diminished when I finally got up :( boooo...) I've been catching up on some long over-due art projects. Two of them can't be shown yet as they are gifts. Once they are received, though, I'll post pictures.

Last night I tried my hand at another birth visualization. This one is in oil pastel. I've never really worked with GOOD oil pastels (which these were). I'm not a fan. They break, they melt, they smudge, they are messy. So, even though I love how this turned out I don't think a strong relationship with oil pastels is in my future. :) But who knows...charcoal IS one of my favorites and they are a little similar...breakable, messy, smudgy....but still so different!
The other day I hit up the local children's consignment store. It's about a mile walk (or more), so when it's nice out it becomes my exercise motivation. We've held off buying any clothes for Bugaboo, though the temptation has been great many, many times with all that cuteness out there! However, I came across these three outfits that I couldn't let go. They are just those "classy" kinds that will never "go out of style." Ya know...if you're worried about that for your infant. :) I especially love the pink plaid one. It's just way to cute. And they only cost about $25 for the three of them! I'm never shopping new retail ever again!

Heading into the 39th week this week....
