We started park days this month, both with our church and Aunt Rachel's, which has been nice. Ashleigh came out for a visit. Ella loved her and calls her "my's new cousin". Josh was gone for a full week and a half - the longest we've ever been apart while married. Ash was here for the first two days and gramma came for a couple of days in between. While Gramma was here Ella got a haircut! We were witnesses at our friend's "re-vowing" ceremony. Went to the annual Yellow Springs Street Fair, to multiple parks AND strawberry picking. We got to see Aunt Jerrye and Uncle Jim for an evening as they were passing through. And the newest baby in the family, Lydia Grace, was born.
Michelle volunteered her art to go up in a new, local baby store at the beginning of July, so the last few weeks of June we're busy with inspiration for 5 new pieces and completion of a 6th.
Three years old definitely came to a head this month. Let's just say we're ALL having a rough time. We did have a fun day together at Young's. Ella braved her fear of animals for the first time and petted some baby goats, a calf, and some adult goats!
Some Ella awesomeness:
"Horsey's being awesome. Horsey's going to school." (while putting a graduation cap on her rocking horse)
"I love Afwa and you love Afwa and you love me!"
"I have some lil babas?"
"Yes"
" And you haf some bier babas?"
"Yes"
"What lil babas for?"
"Well, one day if you have a baby, you'll be able to feed it."
"No a lil baby."
"Okay"
"Mayme I have bier (bigger) ears and Afwa have bier ears when we're bier. "
I asked Ella what she wanted to tell daddy anything while he was gone: "Some toys...some toys um some toys um some toys um daddy. Have some (coffee) over dere in chichin (kitchen). My toys and Afwa toys. What daddy is doing?"
"I have tinty tow pig" (crinkly cow pig)
"No. Dis is how you do it. Watch dis."
"Where's my's rainboops?"
No longer says "offmeans" for ice cream, she's graduated to "ice-eam". We're a little sad about that.
"Neeny birds" Angry Birds :)
