April Snapshots

April's a bit of a blur. The weather got warmer, the nephews started soccer, I got better and then got worse. There were birthdays to celebrate, much to Ella's joy. Lots of cousin time - Ella stayed with them by herself for the first time, and had a such a fun time that she cried when it was time to go. Much of this month Ella has been bonding with Avila. She loves to hold her. Begs to nurse with her (especially when I'm puttering Ella to bed, she just loves to be with Avila). Wipes her spit ups. She's a confident little "smother". Ella has also been doing so much talking. Just jabber - jabber - jabber all day. So fun! April felt a little more normal. I did a fair amount of cooking, even. Ella can recite most of "Hop on Pop" now, as well as "The Eye Book".

Ginger, my trusty, matronly friend from middle school on, was put down after 13 faithful years. That was sad, but I'm happy she didn't have to suffer at all.

2 Months

9lbs 10oz, 22"
So much head control
Little wiggly worm, she just wants to move it seems. Sigh.
Her eyes are still a dark grey - will be like her daddy's hazel eyes, I wonder?
Her blond lashes have turned long and black
Block feeding has dramatically cut down on spit ups
She loves Ella - her eyes light up and she smiles at Ella while kicking her feet
Lots of cooing and smiling
Sometimes seems like she's teething - please, Lord, no.
She looks so much like her daddy!

The last two pics are big sister's attempt at head-supporting -I love how confident and caring she looks. Avila doesn't look quite as confident, however.
