November Snapshots

This month: all the colds, lots of cousin time, playing under the cabinets is fun, awaited and participated in the birth of Rosemary Juniper, Avila's first (conscious) snow, and Thanksgiving with the Abernathy family in Columbus.

J: "Where's your beard?"

E: "In my chin!"

J: "When's it going to come out?"

E: "In about 15 minutes."

Ella's bedtime grocery list one night to josh: some apples, bananas, onion, carrots, lettuce and pineapple. 

E: "I saw Ronnie. "

D: "Where did you see Ronnie?"

E: "At Ronnie's house with Mama."

D: "Who else was there with you?"

E: "Dere were Mamas dere with babas."

M: "Oh, do you mean Rory's house?"

"Yeah!"

M: "Do you like Rory?"

E: "No."

M: "You don't?"

E: "Well, atuawy I do."

M: "When you grow up are you going to be a mama?"

E: "No, when I dow up I'll be Elsie's age. And when Elsie dows up she'll be my age."

E: "Wifey! Are you my wifey?"

M: "No I'm daddy's wifey." 

E: "You're my mama!"

M: "Yeah, I'm your mama." 

E: "Are you daddy's mama?"

M: "No, Gramma is daddy's mama. Did you know that?"

E: "I'm just sharing." 

"I just like Uncle Bob when I'm wearing my tutu." (She's met all three of her Great Uncle Bobs in the last month)

Ends sentences with: "that happens sometimes", "looks like", and "if you would like to do that".

Examples:
"The snow is mushy. That happens sometimes."

"I'm just walking around like a dinosaur, looks like." (with hands up Thriller-style, growling)

"Yeah, you can play with those if you would like to do that."
