Christ The Savior is Born!

Away in a manger
No crib did you need
But a warm chest to lay on
And a soft breast to feed

Little Lord Jesus
The cries You did cry
As Your lungs filled with air
Leaving wet into dry

The Great I AM
In helpless babe
Sucking fingers
And kicking leg

The Breather of Life
Crawling in dust
He will save the world
But now His mother He trusts

The Carpenter of Man
Toddling on two little feet
Bumping His head
Falling in the street

The Healer of the Blind
With a runny nose
A scraped knee
A stubbed little toe

God Omnipresent
Playing peek-a-boo with a cloth
The Creator of All
Enraptured by a moth

The Heavenly Sustainer
With breath milky sweet
The Great Shepherd
In His mother's arms asleep.

Snap snap snap snap snap snap snap snap snap. (Isn't that how you give a standing ovation at poetry slam, snapping your fingers?)
